Scituate Public Works Department

The Public Works Department is responsible for the functions of the town relating to streets, highways, bridges, and storm drains, recreational facilities, and public buildings. The department also cooperates with other departments and functions of the town government by furnishing labor, materials and equipment.

 

 

Recycling leaf and yard debris
The Town of Scituate will be accepting "leaf and yard debris" at the Department of Public Works Complex, Trimtown Road, North Scituate on the following dates and times:
Monday thru Friday 7 am to3:30 pm
Saturday 9:30 am to 12:00 noon

Leaf and yard debris will be defined as: brush and branches - less than 2" in diameter, leaves, twigs and grass clippings. Debris must not include any plastic bags.

Rubbish Removal

The Town of Scituate provides weekly curbside rubbish pick up and bi-weekly  curbside recycling pick up.

  PRESIDENT’S DAY, IS NOT A STATE HOLIDAY; THEREFORE ROUTES WILL BE ON SCHEDULE.
